Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Black beans cooked or canned
  • 1 cup Rice uncooked
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onion is translucent.
  3. 3. Add cumin and salt. Stir well.
  4. 4. Add rice and stir to coat with the oil and spices.
  5. 5. Pour in water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. 6. Stir in black beans and cook for another 5 minutes, until heated through.
  7. 7. Serve hot and enjoy!
