Instructions 

  1. Pour heavy cream into the mixer. Start mixing on medium speed.
  2. Continue mixing until the cream separates into butter and buttermilk.
  3. Drain the buttermilk and rinse the butter with cold water.
  4. Add salt if desired and mix until well combined.
