Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and black pepper.
  3. 3. Dredge the calamari in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  4. 4. Fry the calamari in batches until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
