Ingredients 

Brine Ingredients

  • 1 gallon Water
  • ¾ cup Kosher salt
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Black peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard seeds
  • 4 cloves Garlic smashed
  • 1 whole Bay leaf

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, combine water, kosher salt, and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
  2. 2. Add black peppercorns, mustard seeds, garlic, and bay leaf. Stir to combine.
  3. 3. Submerge chicken in the brine, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
