Ingredients

  • 1 lb Crabmeat fresh or canned
  • 2 cups Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 small Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  2. 2. Stir in the Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  3. 3. Add the crabmeat and heavy cream. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. 4. Use a blender to puree the soup until smooth. Return to the pot and heat through.
  5. 5. Serve hot, garnished with a sprinkle of Old Bay seasoning if desired.
