  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 cup Chopped onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 cups Cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly.
  6. Add shredded chicken and bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
