Main Ingredients
- 1 bottle Red wine 750 ml
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 1 Orange sliced
- 10 Cloves
- 1 Star anise
1. In a large pot, combine water and sugar. Heat until sugar is dissolved.
2. Add the cinnamon stick, orange slices, cloves, and star anise. Simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Pour in the red wine. Heat until just below boiling. Do not boil.
4. Serve hot in mugs, garnished with an orange slice if desired.
