Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Red wine 750 ml
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 1 Orange sliced
  • 10 Cloves
  • 1 Star anise

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, combine water and sugar. Heat until sugar is dissolved.
  2. 2. Add the cinnamon stick, orange slices, cloves, and star anise. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Pour in the red wine. Heat until just below boiling. Do not boil.
  4. 4. Serve hot in mugs, garnished with an orange slice if desired.
