Gorditas
- 2 cups masa harina
- 1.5 cups warm water
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- as needed oil for cooking
In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina, warm water, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each into a ball. Flatten each ball into a disk about ¼ inch thick.
Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil it. Cook the gorditas for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
Slice open the gorditas and fill with your favorite fillings.
