Italian Sausage Peppers and Onions Recipe

- 1 lb Italian sausage mild or hot
- 2 bell peppers sliced
- 1 large onion sliced
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- to taste salt and pepper
1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add the sausages and cook until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add the peppers, onions, and garlic. Cook until softened.
4. Add the oregano, basil, and tomato sauce. Stir to combine.
5. Return the sausages to the skillet. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
