Ingredients

  • 4 hot dogs
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  3. 3. Stir in the tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. 4. While the sauce is simmering, grill or cook the hot dogs in a skillet until heated through.
  5. 5. Place each hot dog in a bun and top with the meat sauce. Serve immediately.
