Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 can Crushed Tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar optional

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Add sugar if desired.
  7. Serve over your favorite pasta.
