Ingredients 

Pastrami Ingredients

  • 5 lbs Beef brisket trimmed
  • ½ cup Kosher salt
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Black pepper coarsely ground
  • 2 tablespoon Coriander seeds crushed
  • 2 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard seeds crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Mix all the spices together in a bowl.
  2. 2. Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
  3. 3. Wrap the brisket in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 days.
  4. 4. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  5. 5. Smoke the brisket for 6 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 190°F (88°C).
  6. 6. Let the pastrami rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
