Instructions
1. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and cook the onions until caramelized. Set aside.
2. Form the ground beef into 4 patties. Season with salt and pepper.
3. In the same skillet, cook the patties over medium heat until desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
4. Mix all the special sauce ingredients in a bowl.
5. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Assemble the sandwiches with the patties, cheese, onions, and special sauce.
6. Cook the sandwiches in the skillet until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
