Puerto Rican Tostones Recipe
Delicious and crispy twice-fried plantains, a staple in Puerto Rican cuisine.

- 2 Green Plantains peeled and cut into 1-inch slices
- 1 cup Vegetable Oil for frying
- to taste Salt
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Fry the plantain slices until they are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove the plantains from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Using the bottom of a glass or a tostonera, flatten each plantain slice.
Return the flattened plantains to the hot oil and fry again until crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and season with salt to taste.
