Burger Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa, cooked
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
1. In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth.
2. Add the cooked quinoa, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
4. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and heated through.
