Roasted Pork Banh Mi Recipe
A delicious Vietnamese sandwich with roasted pork, pickled veggies, and fresh herbs.

Roasted Pork
- 1 lb pork shoulder
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Pickled Vegetables
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 1 cup daikon radish, julienned
- ½ cup white vinegar
- ½ cup water
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
Assembly
- 4 pieces baguettes
- 1 cup cilantro
- 1 cup cucumber, sliced
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 pieces jalapenos, sliced
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Marinate pork shoulder with soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and minced garlic. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
3. Roast pork in the oven for 40 minutes or until fully cooked. Let it rest before slicing.
4. In a bowl, mix vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Add julienned carrots and daikon radish. Let it pickle for at least 15 minutes.
5. Slice baguettes and spread mayonnaise on one side.
6. Layer sliced pork, pickled vegetables, cucumber, cilantro, and jalapenos in the baguettes.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
