Main Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter cut into small pieces
- ⅔ cup milk
- 1 large egg beaten
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in milk and beaten egg until just combined.
Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Pat into a 1-inch thick round and cut into 8 wedges.
Place wedges on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
