Main Ingredients
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup crab meat preferably fresh
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the flour and whisk until smooth, cooking for about 1 minute.
3. Gradually add the milk and heavy cream, whisking constantly until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
4. Stir in the crab meat, salt, pepper, and paprika. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Serve hot, garnished with additional paprika if desired.
