  • 4 fillets Catfish fresh
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • ½ cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • ½ cup Buttermilk
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. 2. Dip catfish fillets in buttermilk, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture, coating evenly.
  3. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. 4. Fry the catfish fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. 5. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
