Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • ½ cup diced onions
  • ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, cumin, chili powder, black pepper, and cilantro. Add the steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the steak: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly.
  3. Warm the tortillas: Heat the tortillas on a dry skillet or directly over a gas flame until warm and slightly charred.
  4. Assemble the tacos: Place a few slices of steak on each tortilla. Top with diced onions and chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges.
