Traditional Welsh Rarebit Recipe

- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 slices Bread, toasted
- to taste Salt and pepper
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
3. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.
4. Stir in the grated cheese, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Pour the cheese sauce over the toasted bread slices and serve immediately.
